Dolphin is an experiment in the creation of a small integrated research environment comprised of academic researchers and professional practitioners. It is an attempt to create a multidisciplinary, cross-professional-sector ‘ideas research lab’ that, working interactively and collaboratively, produces theoretically advanced ideas that are interpreted and mediated by professional practitioners. Its intended purpose is to provide practical new perspectives to contribute to the Australian Defence policy discussion, particularly with regard to the Australian Submarine Force.
